He is survived by: his wife Gale Curtis Dent; his children, Raymond Daniel Dent (Johnnie) and Bridget Dent Johnson; his grandchildren, Brittany Dent, Jessica Consterdine (Marc), Briana Johnson, Ciara Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Caylan Hill Jr., Haley Gentry, Antriel Dimetroff and Walter Raymond Ross; his great grandchildren, Michias Johnson, Aiden Consterdine, JaCobi Johnson, Raegyn Giles, Poppy Consterdine, Kailee Kelly and Ari Hill; and his grandchildren, Tianna Muhammad and Arianna Muhammad.

Viewing was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Connection Church (115 Patriot Trail, Hinesville, GA 31313). A celebration of life was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery (8819 US-301, Glennville, GA 30427).
