She is survived by: her son Benjamin Hooks, III (Laura) of Pooler, Georgia; her adoptive daughters, Ivy Ford, Alice Hill, Cleo Hollingsworth, Dwinda Wilson and Cynthia Grayer; her close friends, Susan Harris, Ann Jackson and Annie Johnson; and her grandchildren, Kesean Taylor, Shakema Hill, Lajoi Ford, Kyleih Ford, Samuel Wilson, III and Mary Wilson.
