She was predeceased by: her father Sylvester Ardister; and her brothers, Thomas Dye, Anthony Dye Sr. and Larry Jackson. She is survived by: her mother Mamie Lou Dye (Glaze); her siblings, Mamie Walker (Jerry Walker), Gracie Glaze, Glory Leverett, Donald Clark, Linda Malcolm (Reggie Malcolm), Annette Carter (Rodney Carter) and Sandy Dye; her husband Larry D. Thornton; her children, Shequllia Young (Jonathan Young), Natosha, Andrea Thornton and Shantel Thornton; her grandchildren, Malcolm Thornton (Hacer Thornton), Alexia Hannon, Dillon Hannon, Dominique Hannon, Ariyonna Thornton, Asia Thornton, Taurien Edwards, Azariah Thornton and Ahnyx Thornton; and her great grandchild Sameerah Eroglu. She is also survived by six aunts, four uncle, nine nieces, six nephews, and a host of other family members.
