It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jo Ann Deshazo Steffen of Hinesville, Georgia, who passed away on September 25, 2021, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Joe Preston DeShazo; and her stepbrother Steve Tanaka. She is survived by: her mother Nancy Tanaka; her close friend George "Terry" Johnson; her sisters, Betty DeShazo and Barbara Smith; her brother-in-law Garry; her sister Jodie Johnston; her brother-in-law Mike; her stepbrothers, Art Tanaka and Kenny Tanaka; her sister-in-law Suzanne; her children, Stephanie (Wesley Moore), Carrie Roberts and Sean Steffen; her grandchildren, Jacob, Caitlin, Colby and Ashley; her nieces and nephews, Trica, Kasey, Chelsey, Tyler, Danyel, Taryn, Dylan, Sydney, Abbey and Katey; and her stepfather Tom Tanaka.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to the Alzheimer's Association.
