With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis Strickland Read (Hinesville, Georgia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 1, 2025 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Berry Strickland and Elizabeth King Strickland (Clifford); and his siblings, Roosevelt, Rosa Pearl, Ellis, Martha Jane and Carl.

He is survived by: his wife Nina; his children, Eric and Khedra; his granddaughters, Nadia and Maya; and his siblings-in-law, Harry Scott (Leona), Ray Scott (Vernice), Bobby Scott (Marlena), Debra Scott, Nancy Scott and Carolyn Williams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
