He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ivey Varnedoe, Sr. and Kathleen Stafford Varnedoe; his sister Patricia V.; his brother-in-law Edgar M. Edwards, Sr.; his granddaughter Alison Letnaunchyn; and his nephew Edgar M. Edwards, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Kuniko Yohena; his daughters, Carla Standard (Durand), Kame Varnedoe (Jamie Cooke) and Marian Letnaunchyn (Bo); his grandchildren, Brandon Standard, Brooke Standard Daubard (Tyler), Elise Letnaunchyn and Jade Varnedoe Cooke; his brother David S. Varnedoe (Mary); his nephews, Pat Edwards, Bob Edwards, David Varnedoe, Jr. and Carl R. Varnedoe; and also Noah Henderson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hinesville First United Methodist Church or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
