It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernice Jane Shelton (Hiawassee, Georgia), who passed away on September 1, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Wilborn Brown (Duck) and Vernie Chastain Brown; her husband Charles Shelton; and her brothers, David, Clarence and Frazier Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel Shelton (Rick Harrison) of Hayesville and Patricia (Kenny Thompson); and her sisters, Shirley Ballew of Nashville, TN., Allene Ware of Herron, IL. and Eloise Stewart of Massillon, OH.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
