Wilburn and Anne McCollum Wilburn; his wife Anne Wilburn of Greenville, GA.; his children, Sam Wilburn III (Annie Bass) and Cynthia Hendon (Charlie); his grandchildren, Lindsay Sutcliffe (Mike), Yates Wilburn (Molly), Merritt Wilburn, Elias Wilburn, Tanner Hendon (Katie), Houston Hendon and McClain Hendon; and his great grandchild Eleanor Sutcliffe.
