She is survived by: her husband Henry Abernathy of Hayesville; her children, William Craig Nicholson of Cartersville, GA and Subrina Abernathy of Hiawassee, GA; and her siblings, Bertha McCray of Hayesville, NC, Shirley Clemons of Murphy, NC, Terry Cross of Hayesville, Mayme Cross of Hayesville, Jessie Cross of Alpharetta, GA and Ted Cross of Hayesville.
