She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Taylor Shirley and Claire Scott Shirley; and her brother Scott Bernard Shirley. She is survived by: her husband Morris Alexander Phillips; her sons, Dwayne Anthony Phillips (Lisa), David Alexander Phillips (Debbie) and Steven Keith Phillips (Emily); her stepdaughter Marsha Elizabeth McClure (Cline); her grandchildren, Blake Phillips (Julia), Eli Phillips, Zoe Phillips, Megan Phillips Eyrich (Jonny), Dillon Phillips, Evan Phillips, Logan Phillips, Alex McClure (Elizabeth) and Sarah McClure Brewer (Terry); her great grandchildren, Kaden Phillips, Kelsey Phillips, Willa Eyrich and Hadlee-Grace Brewer; and her siblings, Sybil Smith and Charles Shirley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1143 Friendship Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 29th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
