It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmie Berrong (Hiawassee, Georgia), born in Hayesville, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2018, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Clay Jack; her parents, Bynum Penland and Maude Penland; her stepmother Nola Penland; and her brothers, Walter and Donald Penland.
She is survived by: her children, Stan Berrong, Jacki Berrong of McDonough, GA and Carolyn Quattlebaum of Grayson, GA; her siblings, Johnny Penland of Charleston and Mattie Mae Brock of Snellville, GA; and her grandchildren, Matthew Quattlebaum, Marshall Quattlebaum, Shane Quattlebaum, Chera Downs and Nathan Berrong. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
