She was predeceased by: her parents, Huston Nichols and Reba Nichols; her husband Bruce Dayton; her brother William "Bill" Nichols; and her granddaughter Jessica Duckworth.
She is survived by: her siblings, Clarence, Gary Nichols and Janie Penland; her children, Denise Hoyle, David Dayton, Danna Kay Carrol, Sara Nicholson and Huston Dayton; her grandchildren, Amanda Blair, Valerie Patenotte, Marsha Clayton, Joseph Barnes, Carol Payne, Emily Payne, Aaron Payne, Krista Adams, Cory Duckworth, Kelsey Washington and Kayla Nicholson; and her great grandchildren, Leah, Nolan Patenotte, Alayna, Julia Adams, Brooklyn, Brayden, Brighten Hughes, Abby, Ethan Payne, Emily, Lisa Clayton, Noah, Landon Foster, Colton Mashburn and Malerie Blair Barnes.
