She was predeceased by: her parents, Dewey B. Shook and Thelma Mattie Ledford Shook; her brother Jerry Oren Shook; and her nieces and nephews, Matthew Moody, Kevin Morgan, Carla and Darla Moody.
She is survived by: her husband Arthur Velasco of Hiawassee; her sister Jeanette Pack of Blairsville; her niece Brittany Pack of Blairsville; her nephew Kery Morgan; and her stepchildren, Marco (Cathy Velasco) and Marie (Ted Ring).
