It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frances Johnston-Hirschy in Hiawassee, Georgia, born in Boaz, Alabama, who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Howard Hirschy; her children, Joy Cates (Chris), Mark Johnston (Helene) and Janet Shively (Chip); her grandchildren, Nathaniel Cates (Eleanor), Andrew Cates (Katie), Caroline Ivie (Tanner), Jonathan Shively (Kayla), Austin Shively, Kate Hamilton (Austin), Taylor Hill (Durham), Chandler Johnston, Bailey Johnston and Watts Johnston; and her great grandchildren, Nora, Rawlings Cates, Davis Cates, Annabelle, Jack and Catherine Ivie.
