We bid farewell to Russell Otis Cantey of Hephzibah, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 22, 2025 at the age of 68. Russell Otis touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Rosser Cantey, Jr. and Elvira Giacobone; and his siblings, Lois Graham and Ray Cantey. He is survived by: his children, Russell Allen Shannon (Crystal), Tara Nicole Cantey (Collin), Kristy Cantey Paist (Eric) and Christle Nicole Moore (Chris); his grandchildren, Zeke, Stephen Cronic, Blake Russell Patterson, Ava Lundy Patterson, Casey James Stauter, Conner Wade Paist, Elijah Gage Kindberg and Autum Nicole Kindberg; and his siblings, Robert (Tina), Kathy Lett (Jeff) and Patricia Glover (Phil). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Chance and Hydrick (2502 Richmond Hill Rd, Augusta, GA 30906).
