He was predeceased by: his parents, George Griffin and Josephine Griffin; and his siblings, Beatrice Gibbs, Georgene Griffin and Alethia Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Jamila Griffin (Bill Dotson) and Aki Griffin (LaToya); his grandchild Jahhon Griffin; and his siblings, Gregory Griffin, Sandra Griffin-Davis (Eugene), Colleen Sturgis and Ronnie Griffin (Helen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
