He is survived by: his sons, Malcolm Leatherwood (Rosa), Matthew Leatherwood Jr. and Jason Leatherwood (Marlo); his nephew Harold Dixon; and his goddaughter Lynn Leatherwood. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
