With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jeanette Smith of Hephzibah, Georgia, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Bassett and Emily Bassett; her husbands, Forrest Garrett and Billy Joe Smith; and her stepson Mark Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Jan Whitehead; her grandchildren, Carina Miskelly (Paul) and Roger Whitehead; and her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Miskelly, Chelsea Whitehead, Dalton Whitehead, Paul Richard Miskelly and Robert Whitehead (Laura). She is also survived by many loving nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Jeanette's memory to Wings of Wheeless, 1566 Hinton Wilson Rd., Harlem, Georgia 30814.
