He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Neely Sr. and Marie Pryor Neely; and his siblings, Robert L. Neely, Clayton Neely Jr., Nathaniel Neely, Earl M. Neely, Elouise Washington and Bobie L. Neely.
He is survived by: his children, Marita Adams (Toney), Janice Buggs (Thomas), Clara Jenkins, Carolyn Mixon (Cleveland), Rebecca Mack (Horace), Emma Smith (Carl), Patricia Adams (David) and James Neely Jr. (Dawn); and his siblings, Ruby L. Butler, Lillie Alice Wright (Donald), Bernice Scott, Christine Boykin (Conrad), Harriet Scott (Marvin) and George B. Neely (Hattie). He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
