He is survived by: his wife Dolores "Peggy" Martin James; his children, Shelby James Rogers (Jeff) and Martin James (Leslie); his grandchildren, Colby Rogers and Chase James; and his siblings, Darnelle Tyner, Anne Tolbert, Hilliard James and Herman James. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
