He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Juanita Cope; his daughters, Ja'Near Mathis (Michael Sr.), Reba Anderson (Warren Jr.) and Sherid Wynn (Gary); and his brother Ellis Threadcraft (Tina). He was also cherished by eleven grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
