He is survived by: his children, Coretta Wood, Doretha Johnson, Jean Roundtree, Pamela Phillips-Green (Jerry), Melinda Phillips-Brown (James), Johnnie Mae "Babysister" Phillips, Tomeka Dykes (Antoine), Kenneth D. Phillips (Adrienne), Johnny Phillips (Tamela) and Carey Phillips (Pamela); his siblings, Ella Phillips-Lassiter of Miami, FL, Willie Phillips (Sally) and Ulysses "Pete" Phillips; his siblings-in-law, Christine Phillips, Wilhelmina Bryant (Johnny), Mary F Overstreet, Ulysses Barber, Jr. (Nadena) and Willis Mark Barber (Shirley); his half-sisters, Gwen Owens, Brenda Owens Chestnut and Devoted; his cousin Robert "Boy" Phillips of Midville, GA; and his close friend Janie Terry. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowful friends.
