He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Baxley Swope; and his son Bryan Hayes Swope. He is survived by: his children, Felicia Willson (Key) and Steve Swope (Marie); his grandchildren, Jennifer Swope (Toby), Matthew Swope (Orren Jones), Kirkland Willson and Hayes Willson; his great grandchildren, Eleanor and Henry Swope; and his son Stephen (Steve).
