He was predeceased by: his sisters, Mildred Blanchard and June Crawford. He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Pollard; his sons, Griffin B. "Jake" Pollard, III (Melanie Bass) and Keith Allen Pollard; and his grandson Ben Buchanan Pollard.
