He was predeceased by: his parents, William Snipes and Ethel Wortham Norwood, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen Estella Henley Norwood of Jesup; his children, William Gary Norwood (Kim) of Cartersville and Cindy Norwood Hart of Statesboro; his grandchildren, Mallory Wheeler (Jacob) of Swainsboro, Tyler Avera (Jessie) of Baxley, Ali Evans (Corey) of Cartersville and Ross Norwood of Cartersville; and his siblings, Dale Norwood (Joyce) of Kannapolis, NC and Carol Thomas (Bob) of Bryson City, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epworth First United Methodist Church, 675 S. 3rd St., Jesup, GA 31545.
