He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kirkland and Mary Morris Kirkland; his son Steve Leon Kirkland; his brothers, Jimmy Kirkland, Johnny Kirkland, David Kirkland and Wayne Daniel Kirkland; and his nephew Lee Kirkland.
He is survived by: his daughter Heather Nicole Kirkland Meyers; his grandchildren, Isabella Riggs, Christian Meyers and Trenton Kirkland; his great grandchild Kayden Kirkland; his siblings, Ricky Carl Kirkland of Fla, Betty Joe Tanner (Robert) of McRae and Jeanette Jones (Gary) of Baxley; and his sister-in-law Shirley Kirkland of Milan.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home (3 E Odum St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539).
