He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Dawson and Mae Dawson. He is survived by: his children, Mathew Eugene Dawson of Virginia and Sumer Suzanna Perkins of Panama; his grandchildren, Reanna Perkins, Eyan Perkins, Noah Perkins, Gabby Dawson and Elijah Dawson; his great grandchild Bonnie May Stewart; his siblings, Ellen (Randall Miller), Gail (Tommy Hogg), Janice (Cliff Litke) and Boyce; and his sister-in-law Melba Dawson of Douglas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
