She was loved and cherished by many people including: her brother Derman Morton "Skeeis"; her husband James Carter of Hazlehurst; her daughter Deidra Higgins (Josh) of Hazlehurst; her grandchildren, Alyssa Tanner, Trent Tanner and Jaxton Higgins; and her siblings, Sheila Porter of Statesboro and Randy Morton of Statesboro. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
