With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell Thornton of Hazlehurst, Georgia, born in Ocilla, Georgia, who passed away on August 21, 2021. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Alvin Thornton and Bobbie Rooks Thornton; his stepmother Wilma Thornton; and his sister Cheryl Gebhardt-Beaty. He is survived by: his sisters, Dana Joy Williams of Soddy Daisy and Dale Royster of Dunnellon, Florida. He is also survived by Several nieces & nephews, several great-nieces & great-nephews, and numerous friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asked to make donations to the Handicap Veterans Association or an animal shelter of your choice.
