He was predeceased by: his sons, Roger Burkett Jr. and Terry Carter; and his brothers, Lamar Burkett Jr. and Arnold Lowery. He is survived by: his daughters, Monica Lajore (Mike) of Woodland, ME and Tina Lightsey (Michael) of Hazlehurst; and his sisters, Earlene Corey (Ben) of Hazlehurst and Alice Dixon of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
