He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Kathy Walker Hedrick; his sons, Steven Hedrick of Hazlehurst and Kenneth Hedrick of Hazlehurst; his sister Clara Hedrick Cooper (Belvin) of Lexington, N. C.; and his niece Crystal Stewart (Sam) of Lexington, N. C.. He was also cherished by several aunts and uncles.
