She was predeceased by: her mother Lourene Toler; and her brother Charles Gaither. She is survived by: her children, Amber Smith of Hazlehurst and James Williams of Hoover; her father J. C. Carter of Hazlehurst; her sisters, Sheila Smith of Lumber City, Michelle Reynolds of Hazlehurst, Charlene Holton of Hazlehurst and Sonya Miller of Hazlehurst; and her grandchildren, Wilton Wooten (Wil), Carlie Williams and Chelsie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
