With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Myrtice Lairsey Shumans Boatright of Hazlehurst, Georgia, who passed away on October 5, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Norwood Shumans; her son Gary Shumans; and her siblings, Clifford Lairsey and Pearl Evans. She is survived by: her husband Billy Boatright of Hazlehurst; her daughters, Sherry Pickren of Hazlehurst, Marie Boatright Beecher of Hazlehurst and Barbara Boatright of Hazlehurst; and her grandchildren, Melody Best (Shane Norman), Angie Tanner (Chris), Matthew Pickren, Ashley McEachin (Eric), Heather Shumans (Michael Hadden), Josh Carter (Cindy), Ryan Shumans, Jesse Webb (Tiffany) and Brenna Waters. She is also survived by 25 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
