With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Ann Claxton of Hazlehurst, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 11, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Walls and Clydie Mae Rowland Walls; her husband Lafiecie Claxton; her children, Tammy D. Claxton, Teresa R. Claxton and Frankie D. Claxton; and her siblings, Betty Sue Summerlin and Anthony Walls.
She is survived by: her son Lafiecie Kevin Claxton of Hazlehurst; and her siblings, James Phillip Walls of Uvalda, Paul Walls of Florida, Roscoe Walls (Debra) of Hazlehurst, Libby Walls Partin of Hazlehurst, Gail Kearney (Buddy) of Douglas and Darlene Brantley (Marvin) of Hazlehurst. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home (3 E Odum St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Bible Baptist Church (37 Bell St, Hazlehurst, GA 31539).
