He is survived by: his wife Diane Bass Leggett of Hazlehurst; his children, Teresa Leggett Redman (late Don), Kris Leggett, Kayla Leggett, Kelsee Leggett, James Edward Leggett Jr. (Jimmy) and Jay Edward Leggett (Kimberly); his siblings, Ruby Lewis (Richard), Jeanette Smith (Bill), I. J. Leggett (Rosa Lee), Maxwell Leggett (Eula) and Charlie Leggett (Peggy); his grandchildren, Shyenne Leggett, Cade Leggett, Kayla Leggett and Kelsee Leggett; his great grandchildren, Kinslee Leggett, Kristopher Spikes, Kelvin Spikes Jr. and Karson Randi Hill; and his sister-in-law Martha Feller. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
