Harold William McDowell Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 12, 2023, at the age of 90, Harold William McDowell of Hazlehurst, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe McDowell and Clara Hawthorne McDowell; his wife Sarah Emily Smith McDowell (Jean Wood McDowell); and his son James Ezra McDowell. He is survived by: his children, Darrell McDowell of Hazlehurst, Glenda Knox of Hazlehurst and Lori Drury (Max) of Hazlehurst; his daughter-in-law Pam McDowell of Hazlehurst; his brother Eugene McDowell (Midge); and his grandchildren, Emily Kate Knox, Kyle Gordon Knox (Amberly), Amanda Grace McDowell, Valerie Dawn Stewart (Josh), Jessica McDowell Brown (Chase), Zachary James McDowell (Wendy), Justin Lee Washam (Mandy) and Kara Leann Harrell (Joshua). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The McDowell Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
