He was predeceased by: his wife Lord; his parents, Goodlett Wesley Dawson and Gussie Adela Reagin Dawson; his sister Christine D. Kelley; and his wife Cloteel Dawson.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonwyn Dawson (Judy) and Rhonda D. Bennett (John); his granddaughter Christie D. Marchant (Britt); and his great grandchild Madison M. Carroll (Rhett).
