It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Lee Brantley (Hazlehurst, Georgia), who passed away on November 22, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Clarice Brantley and John Ellis Brantley; and his sister Frances Mae Brantley. He is survived by: his siblings, Sherry Brantley of Alston, Shelver Jean Brantley of Vidalia, Debra Brantley Melvin (James), Patricia Jones of Savannah, John Edward Brantley of Ailey, Alfred Brantley of Hazelhurst and Minister Ray Favors (Starlin) of Branden, Fla.; his nieces and nephews, Kima Brantley of Atlanta, Alicia Brantley of Ailey, Krissi Brantley of Dallas, Kiara Jones of Jacksonville, Chauner Jones Hodges (Donnie) of Vidalia, Montrel Brantley of Savannah and Alex Brantley of Statesboro; his uncle Ralph Brantley (Athenia); and his aunts, Kate Laney of Lyons, Ruth Thompson of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Lola Wooten of Uvalda, Angeline Brantley of Gainesville, Fla. and Carol Brantley of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
