He was predeceased by: his daughter Angela Sue Hughes Rowland; and his siblings, Essie Mae McNeal and Carlton N. Hughes. He is survived by: his children, Edward Tyler Hughes of Hazlehurst, Pamela Dukes (Bobby) of Hazlehurst and Shonda Carver of Hazlehurst; his brother Fulton Hughes of Glenwood; his sister-in-law Sandra Hughes of Hazlehurst; his sisters, Gail Thornton of Hazlehurst, JoAnn McNeal of Hazlehurst and Belinda Carter (BoPete) of Hazlehurst; his grandchildren, Lee Dukes, Billy Dukes, Gage Dukes, Colby Hughes, Chelsea Rowland, Jaden Sapp and Carlie Colson; and his great grandchildren, Kairi, Kolyn, Lakelyn, Raylyn and Annagrace. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
