It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Joe Floyd of Hazlehurst, Georgia, who passed away on April 15, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Devoy Floyd; his wife Catherine Sarah Floyd; and his siblings, Donald Floyd, David Floyd, Patricia Griffin and Aileen Killi.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Joe Floyd Jr. of Hazlehurst, Jason Lolies (Kim) of Newland, NC, Rush Bailiff of Hazlehurst, Harlan Hamby of Douglas and Sarah Freytag Anderson of Chauncey; his siblings, Roger Floyd (Lisa), Aubrey Floyd (Virginia) of Hazlehurst and Judy Hayes (Lisa Floyd); and his brother-in-law Cecil Griffin (Bessie Trowell) of Hazlehurst. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
