He was loved and cherished by many people including: his daughter Diana Batten; his wife Mary Hutcheson Batten of Hazlehurst; his sons, Eugene Batten (Betty) of Hazlehurst, Greg Batten (Marlene) of Hazlehurst and Sammie Batten (Diane) of Hazlehurst; and his sisters, JoAnn Trowell (Larry) of Hazlehurst and Debbie May (Greg) of Eufaula, AL. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
