He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Odell Rowell and Bessie Selph Rowell; his children, Wayne Rowell and Darlene Rowell; and his sister Betty Jean Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma McCarty Rowell of Hazlehurst; his sons, Ricky (Ellen Rowell), Earl (Cindy Black) and Sammy (Lisa Black); and his siblings, Earl Rowell of Baxley, Martha Sellers (Larry) of Gray and Charlene Hall (Clyde) of Douglas. He is also survived by several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
