With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carolyn Summerlin Thompson of Hazlehurst, Georgia, who passed away on November 12, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Postell Summerlin and Mattie Summerlin; and her siblings, Cora Lee Adams, Lurene Rentz, Wadis, Hoyt, Ronal and Bobby Summerlin.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Harrison (Scott) of Columbus, Trice Thompson (Scott Powell) of Hazlehurst, Trina Scott (Walter) of Rincon and Richard Thompson (Gail) of Baxley; her grandchildren, Melissa Moore (Chris), Nathan Harrison of Columbus, Lindsey Flowers (Ryan), Kyle Thompson of Baxley, Hanna Brookins of Hazlehurst and Alex Scott of Rincon; her great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Harrison and Wyatt Moore; and her brother Lavan Summerlin of Statesboro.
