He was predeceased by: his siblings, Etta Mae Carter, Ocalla Fussell and Maxwell Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Hughes of Hazlehurst; and his daughter Gina Hughes of Richmond Hill. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
