He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Sabrina Deloach; and his granddaughter Katlyn Carter. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Rewis Carter of Hazlehurst; his children, Tina M. Carter of Hazlehurst, Sharie Carter of Hazlehurst, Rebecca Ann Carter of Hazlehurst, Zoey N. Carter of Hazlehurst, Kaylie Carter of Hazlehurst, Tyler Carter of Hazlehurst, Bradley Carter of Hazlehurst, Lamar Carter of Hazlehurst, Desmond Lamar of Hazlehurst, Caleb Carter of Hazlehurst and Blake Carter of Hazlehurst; his siblings, Becky Johnson of Florida, Cathy Knight of Baxley, Wynette Tomberlin of Douglas, Danny Carter (Sheila) of Hazlehurst and Ronnie Tomberlin of Douglas; and his siblings-in-law, Bobby Rewis (Katie), Danny Rewis (Sue) of Guyton and Gail Fogle (Robby) of Hardeeville, S. C.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
