He is survived by: his wife Shirley Selph Wood of Hazlehurst; his children, Shirley Carter of Hazlehurst, Patricia Foskey of Hazlehurst, Brenda Maddox (Tommy) of Hazlehurst and Marshall Wood (Josie) of Hazlehurst; his siblings, Linda Davis of Hazlehurst, Geraldine Stewart (Robert) of Savannah, Mary Nell Duck of Alma, Barbara Nobles (Ray) of Hazlehurst and Allen Wood (Cathy) of Hazlehurst; and his grandchildren, Will Wood (Meg), Kellie Varnadoe (Kyle), Chris Carter (Ciara), Casey Carter (Karleigh), Somer Kerns (Bryant), Tabitha Kauger (Adam), Candace Hatton (Brett), Destiny Maddox, Lynsie Maddox, Danielle Davis (Manning), Tiffany Maddox Morris and Thomas Jr. Maddox (Jessica). He is also survived by 16 Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
