It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Avey Collins of Hazlehurst, Georgia, born in Jesup, Georgia, who passed away on August 28, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Farrell Carter and Ruby Murray Carter; her husband Donnie Collins; her son Patrick Collins; and her brothers, Farrell Carter, Jr. and Darrell Carter.
She is survived by: her daughter Daphne Hamrick (Andy) of Hazlehurst; her grandchildren, Natalie Hamrick and Caleb Hamrick; and her sisters, Winifred Hamm of Roper, Marilyn Landon of Hazlehurst, Betty Sue Turner of Hazlehurst, Shirlene Wooten of Hazlehurst and Angela Eileen Bullard of Hazlehurst. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
