It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roger Hugh Lawson Jr. of Hawkinsville, Georgia, who passed away on March 29, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Barbara Daniel Lawson and Roger Hugh Lawson; his sisters, Rena McCune of Newnan, Nancy Peterson of Vidalia, Harriet Towe of Eatonton, Starr Lee of Rock Hill, SC and Matilda Revell of Rock Hill; his friend Judge Duross Fitzpatrick; his family Methodists; and his children, Judge Lawson, Sabra (Martin Neff) of Telfair County, Nancy (Stephen Remler) of Savannah, Harley (Nichole) of Hawkinsville, Dawn (Jim Taylor) of Lawrenceville, J. D. (Jamie) of Hawkinsville, Jeff (Betsy) of Idaho Falls, Idaho., P. O. Box and Macon. He was also cherished by his mother, his grandmothers, his great aunt, his father's secretary and five sisters.
