He was predeceased by: his parents, J. R. Black and Vanette Howard Black; and his sister Hazel Laidler. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Black of Hawkinsville; his daughter Paula Sampson (Allen) of Hawkinsville; his siblings, Russell Conner and Dell Brackett of Macon, Georgia; his granddaughters, Miranda Kelly (Stephen) and Samantha Sampson; and his great grandchild Stetson Kelly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
