He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gainer and Alice Ruth Lancaster Sparrow; and his brother John Cleveland Sparrow. He is survived by: his wife Nellie Swearingen Sparrow of Hawkinsville; his sons, Bruce Gainer Sparrow of Hawkinsville and John Lawton Sparrow of Hawkinsville; his sister-in-law Virginia Stephens of Stockbridge; and his grandchildren, Abby Sparrow and Timmy Bruce Sparrow. He is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
